Sous Chef

About the role We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join the culinary team at Milk & Madu Group (Bali), based in Badung, Bali. This is a full-time position offering an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic hospitality environment where culinary excellence and innovation are at the heart of what we do. As Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef whilst maintaining the highest standards of food preparation, kitchen management and team leadership. This position is integral to ensuring consistent quality across all our dining operations and delivering exceptional culinary experiences to our guests.

Key responsibilities Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, recipe development and culinary innovation whilst maintaining brand consistency Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking techniques and plating standards

Manage and supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance, training and performance feedback to ensure team excellence Maintain strict adherence to food safety, hygiene and sanitation standards in accordance with local regulations Monitor inventory levels, food costs and waste management to optimise kitchen efficiency and profitability

Quality control of all dishes prepared, ensuring they meet established standards before service Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction Maintain kitchen equipment and ensure proper maintenance and cleaning procedures are followed

Develop and implement kitchen systems, procedures and best practices to improve operational efficiency Support banquet and special event preparation as required What we're looking
