The Manager, Material Cost & Analysis is responsible for managing material pricing strategies and lifecycle solutions. This role collaborates with global customer units, program management, finance, and engineering teams to deliver competitive costs, manage bids, and analyze market trends. The manager will align trade-offs between proposal cycle-time, solution precision, and scope to deliver agreed-upon pricing strategies. Key tasks include project managing supply chain solutions, preparing material pricing for new business opportunities, and conducting teardown analysis to ensure competitiveness. The role requires strong analytical skills, supply base knowledge of mechanical and electro-mechanical commodities, and the ability to negotiate effectively in an EMS or MNC environment.
Tanggung jawab: Deliver competitive material pricing solutions to support growth and margins; Collaborate with global customer units, program management, business proposal leads, finance, and sales to determine pricing strategy; Align trade-offs between proposal cycle-time, solution precision, and scope; Project manage supply chain solutions with commodity, costing, and engineering teams; Prepare material pricing solutions for new business opportunities (bids) and manage ongoing pricing (re-pricing); Generate Bill of Material, cost competitive analysis, and margin recommendations; Provide insight and recommendations for external negotiations; Present proposed solutions to key stakeholders; Perform trend analysis and modelling; Conduct market research and product teardowns to enable competitiveness assessments; Drive continuous improvement in margin expansion, cycle time, and pricing tactics.
Kualifikasi: Degree in Engineering or a relevant field; At least 8 years of relevant working experience in an EMS or MNC environment; Relevant experience within the healthcare segment is a bonus; Strong understanding of industry-specific requirements and practices; Experienced in cost analysis, material pricing, and sourcing strategy; Good supply base knowledge of mechanical and electro-mechanical commodities (plastics, cables, connectors, modules, PCBs, etc.); Proven experience in successful VA/VE proposals; Knowledge of SAP is an added advantage; Familiarity with Microsoft Office; Strong analytical skills and ability to negotiate; Self-confident individual, able to work independently with minimal supervision.
