About the role We are seeking an experienced General Manager Operations with specialist experience in ship-to-ship (STS) operations to join our team on a full-time basis in Jakarta. This is a strategic leadership position responsible for overseeing all operational activities and ensuring seamless coordination of maritime logistics and transfer operations. Reporting to senior management, you will be instrumental in driving operational excellence, maintaining safety standards, and optimising efficiency across our fleet and personnel. This role is critical to our continued growth and market position in the ship-to-ship transport industry.

Key responsibilities Oversee all aspects of daily maritime operations, including ship-to-ship transfer activities, ensuring compliance with international maritime regulations and company policies Manage and coordinate operational teams, including deck crews, engineers, and support staff, fostering a culture of safety and professional excellence

Develop and implement operational strategies to optimise vessel utilisation, reduce downtime, and improve overall efficiency Monitor and maintain vessel maintenance schedules, ensuring all equipment is in optimal working condition and meets regulatory requirements Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, security and environmental (HSSE) protocols across all operations

Manage relationships with clients, port authorities, and regulatory bodies, serving as the primary point of contact for operational matters Prepare operational reports, analyse performance metrics, and identify areas for continuous improvement Budget management and cost control for operational activities, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently

Supervise incident investigation, reporting, and corrective action implementation to prevent future occurrences Lead crew training programmes and ensure personnel maintain appropriate certifications and competencies What we're looking
