Event Operations & Technology Specialist

About the role The Event Operations & Technology Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the successful delivery of sports events through the operation, implementation, and management of event technology systems and event operations. This position is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of race timing systems, participant data management, event technology infrastructure, and operational readiness before, during, and after events. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technology-savvy, and passionate about sports events, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities Event Technology Operations Prepare, configure, and operate event technology systems, including race timing equipment, RFID systems, participant databases, registration platforms, and event software.

Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and quality assurance of event technology equipment and systems before event deployment. Monitor and maintain system performance during event operations to ensure accurate and reliable data collection. Manage participant data imports, exports, validation, and reporting.

Support the publication and verification of event results and performance data. Maintain event technology equipment inventory and readiness. Event Operations Support

Assist in the planning, setup, execution, and dismantling of event operational infrastructure. Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and event stakeholders to ensure smooth event execution. Support venue preparation, operational logistics, and event-day activities.
