Purpose The purpose of the English as a Additional Language (EAL) Teacher is to support non-native English-speaking students in developing their English language proficiency to fully access the academic curriculum and participate confidently in the school community. The EAL Teacher plays a vital role in enhancing students’ speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills, while also fostering their cultural understanding and self-confidence in an international learning environment. Qualifications & Experience A degree in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, English Education, or a related field is required. (Master’s degree is an advantage). Relevant teaching credentials such as a state/provincial teaching license, CELTA, TESOL, or TEFL certification are required. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience teaching English to non-native speakers, preferably in an international or multicultural school setting. Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing ESL curriculum that supports diverse learning needs. Proven ability to adapt lessons for varied language proficiency levels. Minimum of 2 work references from previous employers. Cambridge, MAP, and WIDA experience a plus. Police record check. Proficiency in the English language. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Duties & Responsibilities
