Data Center ICT Technician

Lead and manage the ICT Service Delivery Technicians, ensuring timely and efficient completion of IT equipment installation, relocation, and decommission requests. Provide advanced problem-solving support, including server reboots, backups, and visual inspections. Coordinate and supervise third-party engineers, ensuring compliance with site standards and protocols.

Oversee the management of break and fix tickets, ensuring resolution within agreed timeframes or appropriate escalation. Ensure the creation, review, and updating of on-site documentation, including standard operating procedures, in response to instruction or process changes. Manage patching and de-patching requests, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

Foster strong working relationships with staff and client representatives, promoting a collaborative and professional environment. Oversee the provisioning, fault diagnosis, and rectification of network channel connectivity, and the installation, relocation, and decommissioning of IT equipment. Ensure a safe and healthy working environment, maintaining a professional image at all times.

Apply general knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and solve routine problems. Explain complex information to others in straightforward situations and may convince to reach agreement. High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 3-4 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.

Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team, ensuring the successful delivery of services. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to apply general knowledge of standard principles and techniques to solve routine problems. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information in straightforward situations and convince others to reach agreement.
