The Superintendent Purchasing is responsible for leading end-to-end procurement activities to ensure that goods and services are delivered in alignment with operational needs, budgets, and company compliance requirements. This leadership role involves managing the entire purchasing cycle, from requisition review and sourcing to negotiation and delivery follow-up. The position requires a strategic leader who can develop strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders, monitor purchasing performance, and coach the purchasing team. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in heavy industry or mining and be proficient in ERP systems.
Tanggung jawab: Lead end-to-end purchasing activities, including purchase requisition review, sourcing, quotation comparison, negotiation, purchase order processing, and delivery follow-up; Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, contractors, and internal stakeholders; Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, approval limits, contract terms, and audit requirements; Monitor purchasing performance, vendor service levels, delivery accuracy, quality compliance, and cost-saving opportunities; Coordinate closely with Operations, Maintenance, Warehouse, Logistics, Finance, and Compliance teams to support business continuity; Prepare purchasing reports, identify procurement risks, and recommend improvements to purchasing processes and controls; Lead, coach, and develop the purchasing team to achieve service, compliance, and performance targets.
Kualifikasi: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Logistics, or a related discipline; Minimum 7 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain, preferably in mining, heavy equipment, construction, or heavy industry; Minimum 3 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role; Strong knowledge of purchasing processes, vendor management, negotiation, contract administration, compliance, and ERP/procurement systems; Strong leadership, analytical thinking, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills; Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with SAP or similar systems will be an advantage; Good English communication skills, both written and verbal, will be an advantage.
