This position is based in South Sumatra within the Engineering team of a pulp and paper manufacturing company. The Specialist / Supervisor Instrument plays a critical strategic role in overseeing instrumentation systems that are vital to the manufacturing processes, ensuring reliability, accuracy, and optimal performance across all facilities. The role requires a balance of technical expertise and leadership. The incumbent will supervise instrumentation staff, provide technical guidance, and maintain hands-on involvement in complex technical projects. Responsibilities include managing the installation, calibration, maintenance, and repair of control systems, as well as developing preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and ensure safety compliance.
Tanggung jawab: Oversee the installation, calibration, maintenance and repair of instrumentation and control systems throughout the mill facilities; Supervise and mentor instrumentation technicians and junior staff, providing technical guidance and training to ensure team competency; Conduct regular inspections and diagnostics of electrical and electronic instrumentation equipment to identify potential issues before they impact production; Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules for all instrumentation systems to minimise downtime and maximise operational efficiency; Troubleshoot and resolve complex instrumentation problems, utilising advanced diagnostic techniques and industry best practices; Collaborate with production and process engineering teams to optimise instrumentation setups and control strategies; Prepare detailed technical documentation, including maintenance records, system schematics, and troubleshooting reports; Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards for all instrumentation.
