As a Shipyard Piping Engineer Staff, you will play a crucial role in the design, planning, and execution of piping systems for maritime vessels within our engineering department. Your expertise will directly contribute to the quality, efficiency, and safety of our shipbuilding operations by managing piping system layouts, calculations, technical documentation, and production coordination.
Tanggung jawab: Design and develop piping system layouts and specifications for vessels, ensuring compliance with international maritime standards and regulations; Prepare detailed piping drawings, schematics and technical documentation using CAD software and piping design tools; Conduct piping system analyses to optimise performance, including stress analysis and pressure drop calculations; Coordinate with project and engineering managers, naval architects and other engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of piping systems; Review and approve piping installation procedures and work plans for shipyard production teams; Inspect and verify piping installations during construction phases to ensure adherence to design specifications and quality standards; Troubleshoot piping system issues and implement corrective actions during vessel construction and testing; Maintain detailed records of piping specifications, material selections and design modifications; Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance piping design efficiency and reduce costs; Liaise with suppliers and contractors regarding piping materials, components and equipment procurement.
