• Serve as the primary point of contact for multiple assigned buyer accounts, managing day-to-day communications professionally and proactively
• Oversee the Time & Action calendar for all active accounts, ensuring every processes are achieved on time
• Coordinate multiple orders varying in volume, style complexity, and shipment deadlines
• Analyze tech packs, calculate consumption, and prepare accurate cost sheets (FOB/CMT breakdowns)
• Negotiate garment pricing with buyers and raw material costs with suppliers to optimize company profit margins without compromising quality
• Collaborate closely with the Sample Room and Pattern Makers to ensure samples (Proto, Fit, Size Set, PP) strictly match buyer specifications
• Manage the sourcing and approval process for all fabrics and trims, resolving any supply chain bottlenecks early
• Attend Pre-Production (PP) meetings alongside the Quality Control (QC) and Production teams to clarify buyer expectations and construction details before bulk production starts
• Monitor daily bulk production progress on the factory floor, troubleshooting issues related to material shortages, quality variances, or capacity constraints
• Maintain up-to-date order tracking sheets and status reports for management review
• Mentor and provide operational guidance to junior/assistant merchandisers within the team
• Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Textile/Garment Engineering, Fashion Business, Management, or a related field
• Minimum 8 years of experience in garment manufacturing merchandising, with at least 2 years in a senior role
• Proven experience handling at least 3–5 active major buyer accounts or handling high-volume parallel orders concurrently
• Strong understanding of garment construction, fabric performance, consumption calculation, and washing/printing processes
• Proficiency in ERP software, specialized garment management systems, and Microsoft Excel
• Exceptional negotiation, problem-solving, and crisis-management skills
• Excellent time-management and strong sense of urgency
• Fluent in English (written and spoken) is required for direct buyer communication. Proficiency in other languages (such as Mandarin or Japanese) is a strong advantage
