PT VinFast Automobile Indonesia is an electric vehicle manufacturer focused on innovation and high-quality production standards. The company is currently expanding its operations in Subang, West Java, and is seeking a Powertrain Quality Engineer to join their team. In this role, the engineer will lead quality issue resolution throughout the entire product lifecycle, from new model development and pilot builds to mass production and market feedback. The position involves working closely with cross-functional teams such as Production, R&D, and Supplier Quality to ensure that powertrain components meet internal and customer quality standards.
Tanggung jawab: Create, maintain, and manage CVIS and IPQS documents in accordance with company and regulatory standards; Lead quality issue resolution throughout new model development, pilot builds, mass production, and market feedback stages, focusing on powertrain manufacturing quality; Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including Production, R&D, Supplier Quality, and Engineering, to ensure timely problem-solving; Conduct root cause analysis and drive corrective actions using 8D, 5 Why, and other problem-solving methodologies; Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and customer requirements; Monitor powertrain quality performance and identify opportunities for improvement; Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and manufacturing robustness; Liaise with QE Global teams and internal stakeholders on quality improvement initiatives.
Kualifikasi: Indonesian nationality; Minimum Diploma (D3) in Engineering or a related technical field; Bachelor's degree is an advantage; Experience in automotive manufacturing, preferably from an Automotive OEM or Tier-1 supplier; Understanding of automotive quality systems, standards, and manufacturing processes; Knowledge of powertrain systems, including engine, transmission, drivetrain, or electric vehicle powertrain components, is highly preferred; Familiarity with quality tools and problem-solving methodologies, such as 8D, 5 Why, and Root Cause Analysis; Experience in product development quality, new model development, pilot builds, or industrialization is an advantage; Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; Good command of English, both spoken and written; Adaptive to new automotive technologies, including electrification and Electric Drive Units (EDU); Able to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
