Procurement (Chemical)

About the role We are seeking a Procurement (Chemical) specialist to join PT Polychemie Asia Pacific Permai in South Jakarta on a full-time basis. This role is central to our operations, responsible for sourcing and managing the procurement of raw materials that is essential to our business. You will play a crucial part in ensuring we have access to high-quality raw materials at the best value whilst maintaining strong supplier relationships and adhering to all regulatory requirements. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on our supply chain efficiency and cost management.

What we're looking for Proven experience in chemical procurement, materials procurement, or supply chain management within the materials sciences or chemical industry Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, or Materials Science is a must

Strong knowledge of chemical products, safety data sheets (SDS), regulatory compliance, and hazardous materials handling Experience with quality assurance and understanding of ISO standards is highly desirable Demonstrated proficiency in supplier evaluation, contract negotiation, and vendor management

Strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia, with the ability to liaise effectively with international suppliers Attention to detail and organisational skills to manage documentation, compliance, and regulatory requirements A proactive approach to identifying efficiencies and cost-saving opportunities
