This role involves working in high-pressure medical environments such as the Emergency Room (ER), Intensive Care Unit (ICU), or Intensive Cardiac Care Unit (ICCU). The nurse is responsible for the rapid assessment of incoming patients to prioritize care based on the severity of their condition. Key duties include performing life-saving interventions, managing airways, administering medications, and assisting physicians during emergency procedures. The nurse will also operate advanced medical equipment, maintain detailed patient records, and provide emotional support to patients and their families while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
Tanggung jawab: Rapidly assess incoming patients to prioritize care based on the severity of their illness or injury; Perform life-saving interventions, manage airways, start intravenous (IV) lines, and stabilize vital signs; Administer medications, clean and dress wounds, apply stitches/sutures, and assist physicians during emergency procedures; Collect blood and sample specimens, run diagnostic tests, and continuously monitor patient vital signs; Maintain detailed electronic and physical patient charts, and provide clear updates to doctors, specialists, and family members; Prepare and transfer stable patients to intensive care units (ICUs), surgical wards, or discharge facilities; Perform head-to-toe and minute-to-minute physical and neurological assessments (such as using the Glasgow Coma Scale); Track vital signs, hemodynamic status, fluid balance, and lab results continuously; Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot advanced medical devices, including mechanical ventilators, cardiac monitors, infusion pumps, and specialized lines; Administer high-risk intravenous medications, blood products, sedatives, and paralytics, frequently titrating critical drips based on real-time patient response; Assist physicians and respiratory therapists with invasive procedures like intubation, central line placement, arterial catheterization, and chest tube insertions; Respond rapidly to medical codes, acute deterioration, or sudden system failures with life-saving protocols; Maintain detailed medical records, chart interventions, and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams; Provide compassionate emotional support, explain complex medical concepts simply, and help families navigate high-stress decisions.
Kualifikasi: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing; Preferably have certification in ACLS/BTCLS; Proven at least 2 years of experience as Nurse ER / ICU / ICCU; Generally requires 1 to 2 years of clinical or general nursing experience, with specific time spent in an operating room or critical care setting; Strong crisis response, calm demeanor under pressure, and clear communication.
