The IT AI Engineer is responsible for building production-grade AI/LLM capabilities that are accurate, secure, scalable, and cost-effective for logistics operations. This role involves creating platforms, standards, and quality gates for the Project Reborn squad, with ownership of specific tasks and features. The engineer will design and develop AI/LLM services using Python/FastAPI, LangChain/LlamaIndex, and appropriate model providers. Furthermore, the role includes leading or supporting the development of RAG/agent pipelines, including ingestion, chunking, embedding, retrieval, reranking, tool use, and structured output. The engineer will also evaluate model performance regarding accuracy, latency, safety, and cost, while implementing guardrails, privacy measures, and CI/CD deployment processes using GitLab, Docker, Kubernetes, and MLflow.
