HSE Officer

About the role Yeakin Plastic Industry Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced HSE Officer to join our team in Batam, Kota, Riau Islands, Indonesia. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our health, safety and environmental standards across our operations. The HSE Officer will be responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry best practices. This position is integral to protecting our workforce, safeguarding our facilities and maintaining our commitment to operational excellence in the manufacturing industry.

Key responsibilities Minimum 3–5 years of professional HSE experience, including experience in handling customer, regulatory, certification, and other HSE-related audits Develop, implement and maintain comprehensive health, safety and environmental policies and procedures aligned with the regulations

Conduct regular workplace inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective measures Provide health and safety training to employees and ensure compliance with mandatory safety programmes Investigate incidents, accidents and near-misses, documenting findings and implementing preventative measures to reduce recurrence

Monitor and maintain health and safety records, statistics and reports for regulatory compliance and performance tracking Liaise with regulatory authorities and external agencies to ensure adherence to health, safety and environmental legislation Develop and manage emergency response and evacuation procedures, including conducting regular drills

Conduct environmental monitoring and waste management oversight to minimise environmental impact Promote a positive health and safety culture through awareness campaigns and employee engagement initiatives Prepare reports and present findings to management regarding health, safety and environmental performance metrics
