Garment Cutting Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented In-House Garment Cutting Specialist to join our Garment Department. This role is responsible for accurately cutting garment components based on approved patterns, markers, and production requirements. Working closely with the Pattern Maker and garment team, the Garment Cutting Specialist plays a key role in ensuring precision, consistency, and efficiency throughout garment production preparation. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of garment construction, fabric behavior, spec sheets, and is able to maintain organized workflow standards in a fast-paced factory environment.

Accurately cut garment pieces based on approved patterns, markers, and technical instructions Minimize material waste while maintaining cutting accuracy and quality standards Ensure fabric direction, print placement, stretch, and shrinkage considerations are properly observed during cutting

Separate, bundle, and label cut components for sewing and further development Work closely with the Pattern Maker to clarify pattern instructions, revisions, and cutting priorities Communicate any issues related to patterns, fabric yield, or cutting inconsistencies to the Garment Production Specialist and sewing team

6+ Years of experience in garment cutting and sample making Strong technical knowledge of pattern making, sewing, fabric types, and garment construction Ability to work accurately with a high attention to detail and time management

Experience handling different fabric types, textures, and stretch qualities Experience in women’s wear, resort wear, or contemporary apparel is a plus Ability to follow technical instructions and adapt to pattern revisions
