Asian Sports Network is a digital platform dedicated to sports coverage across Asia. They are seeking a dynamic and digitally-savvy journalist to join their team as a freelancer. This role is field-based and remote, requiring an enterprising reporter with a deep passion for sports to cover regional events and produce high-quality content. The journalist will be responsible for attending and reporting on live sports tournaments, championships, and community events. They will conduct interviews with athletes and stakeholders, produce feature articles, and create digital-first briefs optimized for web and social media distribution. Additionally, the role involves coordinating with media events to capture quotes and assets, as well as collaborating with editors to pitch and develop compelling story ideas.
Tanggung jawab: Attend, report on, and write real-time or post-event news articles for live sports tournaments, championships, and community sports events; Conduct compelling pre- and post-event interviews with athletes, event organizers, and industry stakeholders; Produce feature articles, and digital-first briefs optimized for web and social distribution; Coordinate with media event to capture quotes, notes, and media assets on-site to complement written pieces; Work closely with editors to pitch story ideas.
