Technical Sales Engineer, Singapore & Batam

Position Overview Serves as the primary technical resource for the sales team, acting as a consultant for high-stakes fabrication and manufacturing projects. In this role, you bridge the gap between complex metallurgical requirements and commercial goals. · Metallurgical Consulting: Providing deep technical guidance on matching filler metals to specific alloys (e.g., Duplex, Stainless, or High-Strength Carbon Steels) to meet rigorous code requirements.

· Process Optimization: Transitioning customers from traditional methods to high-efficiency consumables (like Metal-Cored or Flux-Cored wires) to increase deposition rates and lower labour costs. · Quality Assurance: Assisting clients in qualifying Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and ensuring all consumables comply with international standards such as AWS, ASME, or DNV, etc. Duties & Responsibilities

Promote and maintain current/ potential clients in Singapore and Batam Analysis customer base metals an recommend the exact filler metal chemistry required for structural integrity and corrosion resistance, etc. Assist clients in developing and qualifying their Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and Procedure Qualification Records (PQR)

Act as the first responder to assist customers diagnose weld failures such as hydrogen cracking, porosity, slag inclusions, or improper shielding gas coverage. Lead "weld-off" competitions against competitor products to showcase superior of our products Proactively hunting for new business

Partner with distributor sales reps to visit customers, acting as the technical closer for complex or high-value deals. Manage and process technical-commercial inquiries from distributors Station at Batam office
