Deskripsi pekerjaan
Posisi Second Engineer bertanggung jawab penuh terhadap pengoperasian, pemeliharaan, serta keselamatan permesinan di atas kapal penumpang (Passenger Ferry). Peran ini mencakup pemantauan harian seluruh mesin kapal, pelaksanaan perawatan rutin dari Chief Engineer, pengawasan prosedur jaga dan keamanan kamar mesin, serta koordinasi kerja Third Engineer dan Oiler. Selain itu, posisi ini membantu proses pengisian bahan bakar (bunkering) serta memastikan keandalan sistem kemudi, AC, dan peralatan bantu kapal lainnya sesuai prosedur keselamatan yang berlaku.
Tanggung jawab: Operate and monitor all shipboard machinery on a daily basis; Carry out routine maintenance as instructed by the Chief Engineer; Maintain engine room safety, security, and proper watchkeeping procedures; Supervise and coordinate the duties of the Third Engineer and Oilers, if assigned; Assist the Chief Engineer with bunkering and fuel transfer operations; Monitor and maintain the condition of the steering gear, air-conditioning system, and other auxiliary machinery; Ensure safe and efficient operation of engine room equipment in accordance with company procedures and safety regulations.
Kualifikasi: Valid Certificate of Competency (COC) ATT Management Class III; All Document and Certificates must be valid for a minimum of 18 months; Good Command of English, both written and spoken; Good Communication Skills; Required Certificates :; Passport; Seaman Book; Basic Safety Training (BST); Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boat (PSCRB); Advance Fire Fighting (AFF); Medical First Aid (MFA); Medical Care on Board Ship (MC); Security Awareness Training (SAT); Seaferes With Designated Security Duties (SDSD); Engine Room Resource Management (ERM); Crisis Management and Human Behavior (CMH); Crowed Management (CM).
