Role Description The SAT Mentor is a part-time, on-site role based in Denpasar, focused on preparing students for the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT). Day-to-day responsibilities include delivering engaging lessons on SAT Math, Evidence-Based Reading, and Writing, guiding students through test-taking strategies, and assigning and reviewing practice tests and homework. The mentor will track student progress, provide individualized feedback, and adjust lesson plans to meet different learning styles and goals. The role also involves collaborating with the academy team to align SAT preparation with broader study abroad and scholarship objectives, maintaining accurate records of student performance, and communicating regularly with learners and caregivers about progress and next steps. Qualifications Strong SAT instructional skills, including SAT Math, Reading, and Writing, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly. Experience designing lesson plans, practice exercises, and test simulations tailored to varied student proficiency levels. Ability to coach test-taking strategies, time management techniques, and stress management for high-stakes exams. Excellent communication and mentoring skills, with a student-centered, empathetic, and inclusive approach. Familiarity with study abroad pathways and scholarship requirements is highly beneficial. Bachelor’s degree in Education, Mathematics, English, or a related field; prior experience teaching or tutoring standardized tests is preferred.
