RS Sedayu General Hospital is a healthcare institution committed to providing a safe, clean, and healthy environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Based in Bantul, Yogyakarta, the hospital is currently seeking a dedicated Sanitarian to join its Environmental Engineering team. This role is essential for maintaining the highest standards of environmental health, safety, and sanitation within the hospital premises. As a Sanitarian, you will be responsible for implementing and monitoring comprehensive sanitation and hygiene protocols across all hospital facilities. Your duties include conducting regular inspections of clinical areas, kitchens, laundry facilities, and waste management systems to ensure compliance with health standards. You will manage waste segregation and disposal programs, test water quality to ensure safety, and conduct risk assessments to prevent contamination. Additionally, you will educate staff on infection prevention, prepare detailed reports on audits, and collaborate with infection control teams to maintain regulatory compliance and accreditation requirements.
Tanggung jawab: Develop, implement and monitor comprehensive sanitation and hygiene protocols across all hospital facilities; Conduct regular inspections of clinical areas, kitchens, laundry facilities and waste management systems to ensure compliance with sanitation standards; Manage hospital waste segregation, treatment and disposal programmes in accordance with environmental and health regulations; Test and monitor water quality from various sources within the hospital to ensure safety and compliance with drinking water standards; Conduct risk assessments and implement control measures to prevent contamination and minimise environmental health hazards; Train and educate hospital staff on proper sanitation practices, waste handling and infection prevention protocols; Prepare detailed reports on sanitation audits, environmental monitoring and corrective actions taken; Collaborate with infection control teams to maintain standards that prevent nosocomial infections; Ensure compliance with local and national environmental health regulations and accreditation requirements; Maintain detailed records of all sanitation activities, chemical usage and environmental monitoring.
