Our client, the fluid power and power transmission industry of global infrastructure and manufacturing is seeking an experienced and driven Sales Manager to lead the Automotive Power Transmission (PT) business in Indonesia, covering both First Fit (OEM) and Replacement (Aftermarket) markets. This role will be responsible for growing sales, managing key OEM accounts, strengthening distribution networks, and ensuring Gates remains the preferred partner for high-performance automotive belt solutions. The ideal candidate combines strong commercial acumen, deep application know how, and the credibility to influence stakeholders with a winning attitude.
Location: Jakarta, Indonesia Key Responsibilities OEM Strategy: Manage relationships with key automotive manufacturers (passenger, commercial, 2-wheeler). Drive "spec-in" opportunities for new vehicle platforms and negotiate long-term supply agreements.
Aftermarket Growth: Lead sales through distributors, wholesalers, and workshops to maximize coverage across Indonesia. Execute high-impact sell-in/sell-out campaigns and develop retail activation programs. Market Intelligence: Monitor competitor movements and identify growth opportunities in emerging sectors like EV and Hybrid platforms. Performance Leadership: Deliver on annual revenue, volume, and margin targets while maintaining rigorous CRM hygiene and accurate forecasting.
Partner Engagement: Build long-term partnerships and support technical discussions alongside our application engineering teams. What We’re Looking For Language: Fluency in English is mandatory for this role to manage cross-functional communication and reporting.
Education: Bachelor’s or Diploma in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent technical background). Experience: Minimum 5 years of proven sales experience in automotive or hydraulic hose aftermarket sectors within Indonesia. Network: Established relationships with major OEMs, distributors, and key aftermarket players.
