PT REA Kaltim Plantations is seeking a dedicated Procurement Specialist to manage end-to-end customer-centric projects and ensure operational excellence in oil palm plantations. In this role, you will act as a vital bridge between business units, purchasing, logistics, suppliers, and engineering teams. You will be responsible for sourcing goods, evaluating supplier performance, negotiating prices, and maintaining compliance with international standards such as RSPO, ISCC, ISPO, and ISO 14001 to support our sustainable operations.
Tanggung jawab: Conduct periodic evaluations and performance assessments of suppliers to ensure compliance with company standards for quality, performance, compliance, and regulations; Source goods from local, national, and international suppliers, and negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery times; Identify, evaluate, and develop alternative suppliers as a risk mitigation measure to ensure continuity of supply, product quality, and after-sales service; Prepare and evaluate bid comparisons based on price, technical specifications, quality, stock availability, lead time, and total cost of ownership (TCO); Create and issue Purchase Orders (POs) in a timely manner and ensure confirmation of PO receipt and estimated time of arrival (ETA); Foster effective communication and coordination among Suppliers, Logistics, the Warehouse, and Business Units; Follow up on and resolve all procurement issues, including outstanding deliveries, product nonconformities, warranty claims, and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs); Monitor the procurement process and prepare and submit weekly reports to management; Prioritize procurement processes based on operational urgency, including workplace safety, equipment breakdowns, and production needs.
Kualifikasi: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or Engineering; At least min 2 year's experience in the same or a related position; Good interpersonal skills and English; Ability to generate Excel spreadsheets with supporting analysis; Willing to travel to site plantations regularly; Possess a solid understanding of technical and mechanical engineering, particularly regarding industrial equipment, spare parts, and materials; Possess experience and a solid understanding of the purchasing/procurement process for goods and services to support operational needs of a palm oil mill; Understand export and import processes, including Incoterms, customs documentation, international shipping, and applicable regulations; Placement & People:; This role is placed at our Balikpapan Office, Kalimantan Timur; The Procurement Specialist role will be a strength bridge between the Business Unit and teams of Purchasing, Logistics, Supplier, and Engineering teams.
