Principal Injection Molding Tooling Engineer

We are seeking a Principal Injection Molding Tooling Engineer to lead the full lifecycle of injection mold tooling—from concept through production readiness and continuous improvement. This role partners cross-functionally to deliver high-quality, scalable, and cost-effective tooling solutions that support technology products in the Utilities & Energy sector.

Duties & Responsibilities Lead evaluation and definition of tooling packages for RFQs on new products Conduct mold flow analysis and provide design feedback to improve manufacturability, quality, and cycle time

Own specification, quotation, procurement, and lifecycle management of injection mold tooling Facilitate Design for Manufacturing (DFM) reviews and identify tooling-driven process improvements Develop and standardize SOPs, work instructions, and best practices for tooling setup, maintenance, and operation

Partner with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot tooling and process issues in real time Drive improvements in OEE through data-driven analysis and participation in manufacturing reviews Identify and execute cost-saving opportunities through tooling redesign, standardization, and new technologies

Support automation and advanced manufacturing initiatives to enhance production capability Required Skills & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Plastics, or related field) or equivalent experience
