Perusahaan pelayaran mencari Port Engineer yang berpengalaman untuk bergabung dengan tim di Batam. Peran ini sangat krusial dalam memastikan kesiapan teknis, keandalan operasional, dan kepatuhan armada terhadap standar maritim internasional. Tanggung jawab meliputi koordinasi perbaikan kapal, pemantauan sistem perawatan terencana (PMS), investigasi kegagalan mesin, serta memberikan dukungan teknis kepada tim teknik di atas kapal. Port Engineer juga berperan dalam mengoptimalkan efisiensi bahan bakar dan biaya operasional armada.
Tanggung jawab: Coordinate and oversee vessel repairs, dry-docking, and emergency repairs to ensure timely, safe, and cost-effective execution; Implement, monitor, and verify the Planned Maintenance System (PMS) for all vessel machinery and equipment; Conduct routine vessel inspections to ensure technical readiness, operational reliability, and compliance with company standards; Investigate machinery failures, technical defects, accidents, incidents, and near misses, and recommend appropriate fleet-wide corrective and preventive actions; Ensure all vessel defects are properly reported, tracked, rectified, and closed out in a timely manner; Support the Designated Person Ashore (DPA) in implementing, monitoring, and verifying the Company's Safety Management System (SMS); Maintain vessel equipment inventory records and monitor spare parts consumption to ensure adequate availability and effective cost control; Monitor vessel speed, operational performance, and fuel consumption to optimize efficiency and reduce operating costs; Provide technical support and guidance to onboard engineering teams and assist the Technical Superintendent in vessel maintenance planning and engineering operations; Assist in the assessment and selection of prospective marine engineers; Conduct performance appraisals and provide technical training and guidance to onboard engineering personnel; Monitor maintenance costs, machinery performance, and spare parts usage to improve vessel reliability and operational efficiency; Ensure compliance with company procedures, applicable maritime regulations, and relevant technical standards.
Kualifikasi: The candidate must possess at least a COC ATT II certification; At least 5 year(s) of working experience, with minimum 2 years’ experience as CHIEF ENGINEER; Required Skill(s): Ship Management, International Conventions Regulation, ISM Code, ISPS Code; Good analytical and logical thinking, detail oriented, well organized, and proactive for continuous improvement; Computer literate; Spoken and Written English.
