Operation Supervisor (Jakarta, Indonesia)

Key Responsibilities: Independently oversee end-to-end freight forwarding operations, ensuring accuracy in documentation, smooth process flow and timely issue resolution with minimal supervision. Handle daily operations tasks efficiently. Foster and maintain strong relationships with customers and overseas agents by delivering prompt, high-quality support.

Lead and supervise the operations team in daily activities. Address internal and external challenges effectively while promoting a collaborative and high-performance work culture. Ensure all operational and shipping documentation is properly filed, maintained, and readily available to meet compliance standards and support internal and external audits. Monitor and control operational expenses, including unnecessary vendor charges such as late BL fees, amendment fees, storage charges, and other avoidable costs, to ensure cost efficiency and process compliance.

Manage operational matters related to nomination cargo from overseas agents. Ensure complete and accurate documentation, maintain system data integrity and issue timely and competitive quotations. Work closely with internal and external sales teams. Leverage service excellence to identify and develop new opportunities with FOB suppliers and intermediaries. Execute directives from the Management or Regional Manager consistently. Maintain productive relationships with customers and overseas partners while providing regular progress updates.

Analyze regional operational data, including cargo flow and cost trends, and present performance findings to support continuous improvement initiatives. Monitor operational trends and recommend adjustments to ensure processes remain effective and aligned with industry practices. Monitor team performance and regional operations, taking swift action in emergency situations to minimize disruptions.

Oversee and strengthen Indonesia’s Business Consolidation cargo processes by coordinating with relevant stakeholders, improving workflow efficiency, and ensuring smooth operational execution. Maintain constructive relationships with suppliers and co-loaders to support efficient operations and ensure a positive service experience. Participate in performance evaluations and progression reviews, with opportunities for role expansion based on demonstrated leadership and business impact.
