The Assistant Manager, Human Resources serves as the primary HR partner for DKSH Brunei, leading end-to-end HR operations that empower employees, managers, and business leaders to achieve optimal performance. This role drives HR excellence by ensuring statutory compliance, delivering people-centered solutions, and partnering with the regional Malaysia HR team to enable a consistent and positive employee experience. Key responsibilities include acting as a trusted advisor on people-related matters, managing the complete employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding, driving local recruitment in collaboration with the Talent Acquisition team, and overseeing performance management and employee relations. Furthermore, the role requires ensuring full compliance with the Brunei Employment Order, maintaining positive relationships with government bodies such as the Labour Department and JobCentre Brunei, analyzing workforce data to support strategic decisions, and spearheading employee engagement initiatives.

Tanggung jawab: Serve as the trusted HR partner for employees and managers in Brunei, providing timely and effective guidance on people-related matters; Partner with the Malaysia HR Centers of Excellence (CoEs) to ensure consistent delivery of HR services and effective implementation of Group HR policies and practices; Oversee end-to-end employee lifecycle activities — including onboarding, confirmation, promotions, transfers, and offboarding — ensuring accurate and timely execution in collaboration with the Malaysia People Services team; Lead local recruitment activities in partnership with the Malaysia Talent Acquisition team, delivering an efficient and positive candidate experience; Drive performance management activities, including probation confirmation, performance review cycles, and documentation, in close partnership with managers and the Malaysia HR team; Manage employee relations matters by providing sound guidance to managers and employees, and escalating complex cases to the Malaysia HR Business Partner (HRBP) where appropriate; Ensure full compliance with the Brunei Employment Order and advise business stakeholders on local employment legislation and statutory requirements; Build and maintain effective relationships with relevant government agencies and external stakeholders, including the Labour Department, JobCentre Brunei, Tabung Amanah Pekerja (TAP), Supplemental Contributory Pension (SCP), and immigration authoriti; Manage foreign employee work pass applications, renewals, labour quota administration, and related documentation; Analyse HR data and prepare reports that support informed business decisions and effective workforce planning; Drive the implementation of Group HR initiatives, policies, and process improvements across Brunei operations; Lead employee engagement activities and HR programmes that strengthen the employee experience and organizational culture.
