Job Summary : As an Account Manager specializing in Home & Personal Care Ingredients, you will be responsible for managing and growing relationships with clients in the personal care industry, which includes manufacturers of skincare, haircare, cosmetics, and other personal care products. Your role will focus on driving sales, delivering exceptional customer service, and working closely with clients to understand their needs and offer ingredient solutions. As part of a distribution company, you will act as the key liaison between suppliers and clients, providing technical product knowledge and support.
Key Responsibilities : Client Relationship Management : Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients in the personal care industry, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty. Sales Growth : Identify opportunities to expand sales with current clients, as well as develop strategies to secure new business within the territory or product category.
Product Knowledge : Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding product information, applications, and technical support for personal care ingredients. Consultative Selling : Understand client needs and recommend appropriate ingredients or formulations that align with their product development goals. Collaboration with Technical Teams : Work with Lab Application and product development teams, both internally and externally, to ensure clients receive technical support and guidance for their formulations.
Supplier Collaboration : Liaise with suppliers to stay informed about new product offerings, trends, and innovations, ensuring that the company provides the latest solutions to its clients. Market Intelligence : Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences within the personal care sector to stay ahead of client needs and position the company competitively. Sales Reporting & Forecasting : Regularly update sales forecasts and client pipelines, and report on sales performance against targets.
Training & Presentations : Provide clients with technical presentations and training sessions on ingredient functionalities and benefits, collaborating with internal teams as needed. Customer Support : Address any issues or concerns related to orders, product quality, or delivery, working closely with internal teams to resolve problems in a timely manner.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Business, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in sales, account management, or business development, preferably within the personal care ingredients industry.
- Strong understanding of personal care formulations and ingredient applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Proven track record in achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
- Ability to provide technical product support and communicate complex information to non-technical audiences.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple accounts and projects simultaneously.
- Willingness to travel to client sites and industry events.
- Experience working with a distributor of raw materials or ingredients.
- Familiarity with global and local regulations related to personal care ingredients.
- Experience in negotiating and managing large accounts.
